The Cosmebio Label | | All cosmetic products claim that their formulas contain plants, yet the only thing natural about most products is the name. In light of this fact, a group of cosmetic manufacturers already committed to natural and organic cosmetics decided to create the "Cosmebio" label.
| The purpose of this label : guarantee a truly natural cosmetic product for the consumer.
That is why members of the COSMEBIO association worked together to set forth the first product specifications for Ecological and Organic Cosmetics registered with the Ministry of Industry in 2002. Thus, all certified products contain only authorised ingredients (strict positive list) derived from authorized processes (strict negative list), with a minimum of 95% ingredients that are natural or of natural origin. ECOCERT tests and certifies that the authorized product is indeed a natural cosmetic product.
This provides consumers with an additional guarantee. Other organic labels such as BDIH and Nature and Progress do not submit their products to an inspection authority. Ecocert Delivers: - either the "BIO" label : a minimum of 95% of all of the plant ingredients are certified organic a minimum of 10% of certified organic plant ingredients of the total of the ingredients (including water)
- or the "ECO" label : a minimum of 50% of all of the plant ingredients are certified organic a minimum of 5% of certified organic plant ingredients of the total of the ingredients (including water) The raw materials used are different Fewer than those used in synthetic cosmetic products, natural products labelled ecological and organic use no hydrocarbons (petroleum-based products) which can be harmful to the skin and are not in keeping with an ecological approach.
The preservatives are different No preservatives from the parabene family.
They are replaced by essential oils and preservatives and authorized by Ecocert product specifications because they are non-toxic.
Colorants and fragrances Our cosmetic care products contain no fragrances or added colorants. So their colour and fragrance are actually those displayed by their presence and activity in the active natural ingredients used.
